What is the most important news for today? That we are ready to share the progress that we have made with the game engine/build with the majority of our Backers! It seems like a long time since I had to announce the delay in the start of our Alpha testing yet it was only a couple of months ago. Tomorrow I will announce the times, as well as talk about how the testing schedule will be laid out after that. Our preliminary schedule is that we will have 3 testing times, respectively geared to European, East Coast US, and West Coast US time slots on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday of this week. We will talk about the testing schedule in greater detail tomorrow, but for now, I’ll simply say that we will start testing off with a bang (or BOOM!) by inviting all of our Alpha testers to check out the build this Wednesday. October 15th 2014, Camelot Unchained™ will begin its Pre-Alpha Testing period (also known as the P.A.T.s)! During the next five months, we will be opening up the most current build(s) of Camelot Unchained to our Backers whose tiers included Alpha testing access so that those folks can get a look at and also have some fun in the game. And today, well, I come bearing the latter! Conversely, one of my favorite parts of my job is to be the bearer of good news. That is certainly one of my least favorite parts of my job. Tech Central: Where a technical aspect of the game is presented.The featured artist will often explain their thoughts and mechanical process for the featured piece. Artitup: This section offers additional concept art, or art explanation.Developer Quotes: A short quote that a dev has made, often related to gaming.Dose of Design: This is where one of the design team discuss some of the design of the game.Thank You: CSE is never one to let a gift go unthanked, and often the surprises they receive are presented here.This can be everything from C.U.B.E./Building System creations to fan fiction or art. Look What You Did: This is where Backer creations are showcased to the wider Community.Community Meetup: This section only shows up occasionally, and serves to give a reader a heads up about official visits to Cons and Events.Hot Topics: This small section gives a pulse about what topics are trending on the forums.It was later repurposed to serve as community focused news. CMSphere: Originally this section served as a Q&A for the Newsletter.Everything from stretch goals, testing goals, and other milestones are talked about in this section. Updates: Serves as a section for general game news.Dragon Accident Report: A short section that humorously talks about an incident or event in the studio.Team Tidings: This is the introduction and overview of the Unveiled newsletter.The Newsletter is broken up to multiple components, some of which aren't available in every Newsletter. ![]()
